Rubbed Finish is achieved with sanding pads which are used to remove
the“saw marks”
that are
left in the sawing process. Best suited when a non-slip finished is required

Tumbled Stone units are rumbled together in a tumbling machine that slightly
roughens the surface
and rounds off the edges and corners to give an
aged appearance. Best suited when a non-slip finish is required

Honed This satin finish is generally used for internal applications
It still maintains an
acceptable slip resistance

• Tiles & Vanities
• Stair treads & Thresholds
• Hearths and fire surrounds
Birds Pecked This is a machine textured finish sometimes referred to as “bush hammered”
due to the hammering action that is used in its production

• Kerb and channel
• House veneers
• Large Architectural panels
Pitched/Split Faced This process exposes the natural stone texture
It is often referred to as bolstered
and is achieved by splitting or pitching

• Kerb and channel
• House veneers
• Vehicular paving
Sawn Diamond saws are required in the production of all our products
This process leaves some
“saw marks” on the surface of the stone
Best suited for paving where a non-slip finish is required

Antiqued The intention of antiquing as the name suggests, is to give the stone the
appearance
of
an aged or worn surface
This can be in a rubbed, honed or polished finish

Guillotine Split This finish is achieved by splitting the stone with a Guillotine
This process
exposes the stone's beautiful natural textures
General applications:
• Kerb and Channel
• Vehicular Paving
Polished Generally we recommend a honed finish over this glossy finish as it is best suited to
our
particular material. It should not be used when slip-resistance is required
